All the prints are FINE ART QUALITY prints. That means that they are printed using the latest technology on ARCHIVAL QUALITY paper or photographic paper as appropriate. To enhance their display they are provided mounted using acid-free mount board with bevel-cut edges.
Under normal domestic or commercial conditions they will give many years of enjoyment.
It is recommended that direct sunlight should be avoided as much as possible and remember that conservatories can be unfriendly to any pictures.
Framing

Framing

Our prints are provided unframed so as to allow the purchaser to choose from the wide variety of frames available both bespoke or ready- made.

When the size of the image is suitable to make the mounts to fit ready-made frames this is indicated. Others will need bespoke frames.

Some of the cheaper frames available such as clear glass clip frames are not suitable as the prints are double mounted and the thickness of the finished product is too great.

The illustrations showing our images in ready-made frames show the range from Nielsen which are widely available from local framers and good department stores.

Remember that a little extra care in the choice of the appropriate framing style to suit the decor of the location will reward you with years of satisfaction.

Modern Prints versus Originals

The prints that Archive Art supply are modern prints based on the antique originals.

They are not facsimilies as in many cases they have been altered to clear fading or staining or other damage.

In many cases the colour is a recent addition, as is often the case with originals.
However the colour on our prints will not fade under normal conditions, neither will the paper darken or yellow with age.

In many cases the size is not exactly the same as the original.

We expect them to give many years of pleasure, but are happy to refund any customer who is not completely happy with our products.
